Starting out as a life coach? Avoid these traps.

In the past few weeks, I’ve received the same email, both from people telling me they want me to coach several family members. The clients say they are deaf and have to correspond by email. They ask for an invoice for several months of coaching.

When I responded to the first one, saying I would need to speak directly to each member of the family to confirm their consent to work with me, that was the end of the communication.

The following article mentions a number of scams for which life coaches are targeted. I’ve experienced several, including callers who claim to be from Google, people who want to put me on their radio shows (if I pay them), or other coaches who want me to take their programs.

This is a great read and a necessary one for any coach who wants to avoid falling prey to these scams.
